Overview of Immigration by Giuliana Valencia-Banks, Immigration Affairs Outreach Coordinator for Baltimore County Government. U.S. immigration law is complex. During the Immigration 101 presentation, attendees will learn about the history of immigration law, common immigration concepts, and how the system works. The presentation also covers not only the basics of immigration status and how to gain citizenship but also the statistics, myths, and facts of immigration in Baltimore County and the United States. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about the challenges and opportunities faced by our new neighbors. Registration is required.

Directions: From the South (Towson): Take I-695 to I-83 North to Exit 18, Warren Rd. Follow Warren Rd approximately 1.3 miles to York Rd. Turn left onto York Rd, then right onto Bosley Ave. The center is behind Warren Place apartments (formerly Cockeysville Elementary School.) Park in the back. The entrance is in the rear of the facility. From the North (York, PA): Take I-83 South to Exit 20A (East) onto Shawan Rd. Drive approximately 1 mile to York Rd and make a left. Drive south on York Rd approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Bosley Ave.
