Overview of Immigration by Giuliana Valencia-Banks, Immigration Affairs Outreach Coordinator for Baltimore County Government. U.S. immigration law is complex. During the Immigration 101 presentation, attendees will learn about the history of immigration law, common immigration concepts, and how the system works. The presentation also covers not only the basics of immigration status and how to gain citizenship but also the statistics, myths, and facts of immigration in Baltimore County and the United States. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about the challenges and opportunities faced by our new neighbors. Registration is required.

Directions: From the North (Towson) Take I-695 East to Exit 36 (left exit) - Essex (702 South). Follow 702 to 150 West exit (Essex - Eastern Blvd.) Proceed to the fourth traffic light and turn right at N Woodward Dr. Go one block to Dorsey Ave. The center is on the corner on the right. From the South and West Take I-695 East towards Glen Burnie. Merge onto I-95 N via Exit 11A toward Baltimore. Proceed through the Harbor Tunnel (toll.) Merge onto MD-150 E via Exit 59 toward Essex. Turn left onto N Taylor Ave. Turn right onto Dorsey Ave.
