Update for Those Without Power in Baltimore County
POWER RESTORATION UPDATE FOR BALTIMORE COUNTY
Saturday, July 16, 2022 | 5 p.m.
BGE has shared that the company expects to have service restored to the vast majority of customers by the end of the weekend, with some exceptions due to extreme damage. There are currently an additional 1,230 employees/contractors from surrounding states working in BGE's service area and employees are working shifts around the clock. Baltimore County's Department of Public Works and Transportation is continuing to work with BGE to remove trees and debris and clear roads so the energy company can make the repairs necessary to lines and restore power to all affected.
Please note that BGE is not regulated by Baltimore County and while the County can share information that has been conveyed to our leadership and be of support in every way possible, residents should reach out directly to BGE for updated information about their homes and neighborhoods.
There were representatives from BGE and the American Red Cross at the Jacksonville Senior Center and the Cockeysville and Hereford libraries on Saturday and Sunday, and the Jacksonville Senior Center will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. A BGE mobile unit with representative will be in the parking lot during those hours.
Workers will continue to work tirelessly throughout the weekend until service is returned to all. Resources and links.
