Woman Dies In Randallstown House Fire
A 61-year-old Randallstown woman died after becoming trapped Monday in a fire at her home.
Baltimore County Police investigators identified the victim as Kim Marie Wilson.
Investigators determined that a malfunctioning electric blanket caused this accidental fire. They found there the only heat in the house was provided by electric space heaters and an electric blanket.
Fire crews responded to the 4100 block of Powells Run Road, 21133, at 9:40 a.m. for a report of a dwelling fire. They found fire visible from the first floor.
After hearing from neighbors that someone may be in the home, crews searched and located the victim on the second floor, in cardiac arrest. EMS crews administered life-saving care and transported her to Northwest Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
