The data from the Public Safety Dashboard provides detailed information about crime offenses and crime data in Baltimore County. This redesigned Public Safety Dashboard reports National Incident-Based Reporting Systems (NIBRS) data beginning January 1, 2021 and is updated each month.

NATIONAL INCIDENT-BASED REPORTING SYSTEMS (NIBRS)
As of January 2021, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) transitioned to reporting crime data utilizing NIBRS. Baltimore County has joined every law enforcement agency across the nation in a mandatory transition to NIBRS. The 2021 NIBRS Public Safety Dashboard shows continued decreases in crime in Baltimore County. Baltimore County's public safety data had previously been reported to the Maryland State Police and the FBI through Summary Reporting Systems (SRS).
2017-2020 AGGREGATED PART 1 CRIME DASHBOARD
This dashboard summarizes SRS crime data from 2017 to 2020. According to this annual data, between 2017 and 2020 Baltimore County experienced significant reductions in major crime categories, including homicides, assaults, robbery, burglary, theft, motor-vehicle theft and trafficking.
