Suspicious Subject Arrested Following Several Reported Incidents

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department’s Precinct 6 – Towson Investigative Services Team arrested 39-year-old Charles Wattles following a series of incidents over the past week in two separate police precincts; Cockeysville and Towson. On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, detectives were notified of a suspicious person approaching women on the track at Towson High School. On Saturday, August 5, a second resident reported she was followed home by a male subject who attempted to enter her Towson home but was unsuccessful. Hours later, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Precinct 7 – Cockeysville officers responded to a call involving a subject fitting Wattles' description who was assaulting women inside businesses located at York and Ridgely roads. Officers arrested Wattles Sunday morning. He is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. This remains an ongoing investigation.
