Adult Charged following School Firearm Incident

On November 1, 2023, at approximately 2:20 p.m., a loaded firearm was recovered from a 12-year-old who entered Golden Ring Middle School. Officers with the Baltimore County Police Department have charged 45-year-old Heather Rao with allowing a minor to gain access to that firearm. The youth was not charged in the case due to his age.
