Baltimore County Police Department Unveils 150th Anniversary Badge
The Baltimore County Police Department proudly unveils its commemorative badge to honor the Department’s 150th Anniversary. This specially crafted emblem serves as a testament to the Baltimore County Police Department’s rich history over the past century and a half. To recognize this special milestone, Chief Robert McCullough appointed a committee to design the “150 Year Anniversary Commemorative Badge.” The design is drawn directly from the badges worn by the first sworn members of the Baltimore County Police Department upon its formation on April 11, 1874. The 150th Anniversary Badge has been authorized as an official Baltimore County Police Department badge from January 1st, 2024, through April 11th, 2025. In December 2023, Chief McCullough presented the first commemorative badge to Retired Baltimore County Police Chief Mike Gambrill. “The badge is a tribute to our history, dedication and service to the community, said Chief McCullough. The badge embodies the values of integrity, fairness, and service which our members uphold every day.”
