Baltimore County Patrol Officers Arrest Five Juveniles Following Two Robberies
Baltimore County patrol officers have arrested five juveniles and one adult following two robberies that occurred on Monday, August 5 in the Towson and Franklin Precincts. At approximately 8 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue in reference to an armed robbery that occurred near the shopping center located in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road. Through investigation, the officers located the suspect’s vehicle, traveling the wrong way along Pennsylvania Avenue. All six occupants were taken into custody. In addition, officers recovered a semi-automatic 9mm handgun and a 9mm magazine that contained 14 rounds of ammunition. As Towson officers were conducting that investigation, a previous robbery was reported in the 10200 block of Mill Run Circle, 21117. Officers later determined the same subjects were responsible for both crimes. “These investigations and subsequent arrests exemplify the outstanding police work that is occurring in communities across Baltimore County,” said Baltimore County Police Chief Robert O. McCullough.
Four of the suspects have been charged as an adult. The waived juveniles and adult suspects are currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a no bail status. The charges include armed robbery, first-degree assault, theft, and various handgun charges. All six suspects are under the age of 21.
