Baltimore County Police Department Honored with Pro Patria Award
On Saturday, June 22, 2024, Baltimore County Police Chief Robert O. McCullough and Officer Brian Eaton attended the Maryland Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Recognition Luncheon at the Weinberg Center on Camp Fretterd in Reisterstown. During the event, the Baltimore County Police Department received the Pro Patria Award. To earn this honor, recipients have demonstrated the greatest support to Guard and Reserve employees through their leadership and practices, including adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve. Employer support enhances retention rates in the Armed Forces and, in the end, strengthens our national security. This is the highest level award that an ESGR State Committee may bestow. Officer Brian Eaton, currently assigned to Precint-3 Franklin, is an active Sergeant in the Maryland Army National Guard, while Chief McCullough is a retired Master Sergeant and Reservist.
