Baltimore County Remembers Fallen Hero Corporal Samuel Snyder
August 23, 2024
The Baltimore County Police Department remembers Corporal Samuel Snyder and the sacrifice he made while serving and protecting the residents of Baltimore County. Forty-one years ago today, Corporal Snyder passed away as a result of the injuries he sustained after being shot. The thirty-year veteran was responding to the Bel-Loc Diner in the 1700 block of Joppa Rd., 21234, to assist fellow officers with a call for service when he was injured.
Officers with the Baltimore County Police Department are wearing a memorial ribbon bar on their uniform or a mourning band on their badge today in memory of Corporal Samuel Snyder. His name along with the names of other fallen heroes is inscribed on a monument at Patriot Plaza in Towson.
