Charges Pending in Gwynn Oak Shooting
Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit have determined the circumstances surrounding the shooting on April 25, are domestic-related. Around 10:20 a.m., officers responded to the 5900 block of Talbott St., 21207, for reports of a home invasion. Once on scene, officers also received a call for a shooting in the area of Ingleside and Sunset Avenue., 21207, officers responded and located an adult male who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The male was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
Through their investigation detectives have determined the shooting stemmed from an attempted burglary. The suspect was attempting to gain access to the residence in the 5900 block of Talbott St, when the resident discharged their firearm, and struck the suspect.
Charges are pending against the burglary suspect, who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office will not be pursuing charges against the homeowner.
