Student Charged Following School Threat
Baltimore County police have charged a 15-year-old following an online school threat made earlier today. At approximately 6:30 a.m., officers assigned to Precinct 1 – Wilkens began to investigate an online threat that appeared on social media. As officers investigated this matter, they learned of additional phone threats that were received. After verifying who was making the threats, officers took a 15-year-old Lansdowne High School student into custody. He's been charged with disruption to school activities and threat on school/staff/student.
The Department wants to remind everyone of the seriousness of making bogus threats and the disruption they create. In addition, each threat will be taken seriously by the Baltimore County Police Department. There are consequences for those who engage in this activity.
The Baltimore County Police Department continues to remind all students, parents and staff to report any suspicious or threatening activity. Threats can be reported to school resource officers or school administrators.
