Victim Identified in Fatal Shooting
The victim of the October 27, 2024, fatal shooting that occurred in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road has been identified as 16-year-old Nelson Dariel Pena Martinez. Authorities are continuing their search for the suspect, 16-year-old Brayan Rodriguez. Anyone with information regarding Brayan Rodriguez’s whereabouts is being asked to contact 911. Homicide detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have obtained an arrest warrant for 16-year-old Brayan Rodriguez in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old. On Sunday, October 27, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road. Upon arrival, they found the injured victim at the scene. The 16-year-old was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Rodriguez.
If located, please call 911 and do not approach him. Rodriguez is known to frequent the Pikesville area.

On October 27, 2024, at approximately 2:05 p.m., officers from Pikesville Precinct responded to the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who sustained a gunshot wound. The victim, who is a 16-year-old, was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. This appears to be an isolated incident involving subjects who were known to each other.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit continue to investigate this shooting. They are asking anyone with information about this case to contact 911.
