The Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum is a 126.6-acre site dedicated to telling the inspiring story of the life and times of Benjamin Banneker, often considered the first African-American man of science.

- Exhibitions—In history, art, culture and science, and a permanent exhibit on the life of Benjamin Banneker
- Split log colonial cabin—Furnished with reproduced artifacts like those Banneker could have used
- Gardens—Colonial herbs, vegetables and an orchard
- Restored 19th-century farmhouse
- Onsite trails—Including conservation paths and the historic Number 9 Trolley Line Trail.
- Picnic area—Available for groups of 12 and under on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Banneker's Compass Pavilion—Email to reserve and include name, address, phone, type of event, date, time and number of guests. The pavilion is available for groups up to 30 for $30 per hour. A minimum reservation of 4 hours is requested.
