About
The new Rosedale Recreation Activity Center (RAC), in addition to traditional programming, features an esports theme and offers a dedicated gaming room, highlights the history of electronic gaming and promotes technological advances associated with the field. Esports as recreation serves as a pathway to potential career possibilities and recreational pursuits.
The new Rosedale RAC opened alongside McCormick Elementary School and focuses on recreational, social and wellness opportunities for residents of all ages. The approximately 15,000-square-foot facility was supported by over $7 million in state and County funds. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place on October 22, 2024.
Under the RAC model, Baltimore County’s centers—in addition to athletic and after-school programming—provide expansive recreational, art, health, and wellness offerings, including for residents of all ages and younger children who were traditionally are limited from PAL programming.
