HOMEOWNERS AND RENTERS TAX CREDIT PROGRAM
The State of Maryland provides for some relief for eligible residents in the amount they must pay toward rent or property taxes. HOUSING PROGRAMS
- Senior Assisted Living Group Home Subsidy Program (SALGHS)
The SALGHS Program provides monthly financial assistance to eligible County residents. For low and moderate income seniors, the program provides access to assisted living in small group homes which are licensed by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for four to 16 residents. - Accessible Homes for Seniors
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) in partnership with the Maryland Department of Aging has undertaken a pilot project to promote accessibility-related improvements to the homes of seniors. These improvements may include, among others, the installation of grab bars and railings, widening of doorways and installation of ramps.

TAX AIDE COUNSELING
The AARP Tax-Aide program, in collaboration with the Baltimore County Department of Aging, provides free tax preparation and electronic filing services at select senior centers and other locations during tax season.
