Baltimore County Government to be Closed on Monday, January 6 Due to Impending Winter Weather
TOWSON, MD — On Monday, January 6, Baltimore County government will be closed due to expected inclement weather.
“The safety of our residents and employees is a top priority, and we made the choice to close Baltimore County government tomorrow in an abundance of caution,” said Acting Baltimore County Executive D’Andrea L. Walker. “We encourage everyone who can to remain at home. However, if you must travel, please exercise caution, stay vigilant, and give road crews the necessary space to carry out their work safely and effectively."
Emergency and essential employees must report on time.
There will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday, and all drop-off centers will be closed. Additionally, Towson Loop and CountyRide service will not operate and all branches of the Baltimore County Public Library will be closed.
Baltimore County Recreation and Parks facilities will be closed to the public and programs canceled. Senior Centers will also be closed.
County freezing weather shelters will be operational and due to the expected sustained low temperatures will remain open throughout the day on Monday.
