Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum
The Benjamin Banneker Museum reopened to the public in mid-November 2024. The museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding County holidays. The grounds remain open daily from sunrise to sunset.
The Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum is a 142-acre site dedicated to telling the inspiring story of Benjamin Banneker, often considered the first African-American man of science. - Youth and Adults—Field trips are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays

- Banneker's Life—Learn about Banneker's life and accomplishments.
- Ben the Beekeeper—Learn about pollination and the ways in which bees and other pollinators are crucial to our ecosystem.
- Stream Strollers—Catch critters in a stream and observe them to learn about how the health of our streams affects the health of the Chesapeake Bay. Water shoes or rain boots required.
