Active Employee Information
Open Enrollment will continue through Saturday, November 30. All changes to coverage will be effective January 1, 2025. Active employees are encouraged to review their benefits and review and update their life insurance beneficiaries in Workday. If you do not need to make any changes during Open Enrollment, your elections will automatically carry over to 2025. Flexible spending accounts require re-enrollment every year.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Baltimore County has approved one contribution structure for active employee health insurance. Effective January 1, 2025, all active employees will pay the same rate regardless of date of hire.
OTHER ITEMS TO CONSIDER
- Increase additional life by $10,000, up to $200,000 with no health questions.

-
Consider additional voluntary benefits through MWE. MWE offers employees a full array of voluntary benefits, which may fill potential gaps in your County-sponsored benefits. Their menu options include short-term disability (STD), accident, hospital and life insurance with long-term care, which can be continued in retirement.

Review and update your life insurance beneficiary through your Open Enrollment Event in Workday.
